Liam Dillon, a reporter for the Naples Daily News, left Philadelphia for Washington, D.C. with a profound knowledge of both rap music and sports. He graduated from Georgetown University in May 2005 with a degree in government and philosophy, maintaining that original knowledge, but throwing in a little Nietzsche for fun. He worked as a part-time sports reporter for The Washington Post from Dec. 05 to May 06, primarily covering high school gymnastics, soccer, crew, football, field hockey and basketball. The ultimate synthesis of all he knows would be a rap song that somehow found a word to rhyme with Tsukahara. Now he covers just about everything to do with Ave Maria, the town and Catholic University founded by Domino’s Pizza-magnate Tom Monaghan. He’d like to spend much of the rest of his life writing profiles.
