so i was not surprised to find  
my thrice busy friend
cedric centipede   
typing on one of his eleven laptops
wearing a t shirt
bearing those now famous words

one that takes on gang bushcheneyrice
one for cannibus culturati
one for infinitive splitters and other mashers
of the motherly tongue  
and my newest  
for centipedes like myself
who have broken
at least one of their two hundred ankles

thus giving new meaning
to the term
podcasting

and even more
to be heard

without struggle
strain or getting beat blue  
on the subway
or run over by  wheels
attached to an nra bumper sticker

to have at least one word we utter
in this lowly life     
echo down the marbling canyons
past all the firecrackers and
hellbenders and
other makers of  the cacophonious      

then to land
in some waiting
open
and willing
